The 13,800+ NJSA Members and the 4000+ CPS Team Purebred Youth will acquire animal knowledge for selection criteria that relates to swine function and relevance. 2. Longer rumps, longer bodies, and deeper body cavities for more capacity will dominate selection to increase sow productivity.3. Improved nipple quality and vulva size will take precedence in the show ring and breeding pens.4. Selecting clean crisp skeleton structure with longer bones and angles that contribute to soundness, reproduction, and longevity will be a sought after skill.5. Engineering 3 dimensional hogs (length-width-depth) will offer true balance and a total package for production, soundness, appetite, growth, feed efficiency, muscle dimension, meat quality and herd health.6. Incorporating the distinct difference in masculinity and femininity will set the course for production change.7. Showing and winning with Hampshire’s that make a better pork product for producers and consumers will be a goal for anyone referred to as a Hamsphire Seed Stock Breeder. There is good reason to focus on the importance of tomorrow, to make hard choices and reinvent priorities.Litter of 12 crossbreds. The end product for the food chain.Elephant 7-5Foot, forearm and head, tools of selectionBattleship 3-1On active breeding dutyThis is a unique period in animal breeding. For many, the current trendy popular type is all you’ve ever seen or all you’ve ever been taught. When you partner with our team, you’ll find there is more satisfaction in the knowledge gained about breeding hogs and the contributions to a vast swine industry. We don’t make excuses for our Hampshire’s. Utility and predictability matter and it’s refreshing to deliver genetic differences that you can take home as heritable traits, not management or environment. This is a unique period in animal breeding. The products which have the most to offer also have the most value because they can be more reasonably purchased at this stage, before they are fully understood and accepted. With certainty, we remain dedicated to the breeding of better Hampshire’s...Fundamental traits that enhance productivity and profitability have never changed.Mother of HugeCPMW Huge 4-7Mother of BattleshipCPMW Battleship 3-1Mother of Ten Gauge after 10th LitterFieths Ten Gauge 4-3FOR SALE AT THE FARM25 productive gilts10 genetically powerful boars We guarantee their libido and mothering ability. 73JUNE 2018 | SEEDSTOCK EDGE18 June SE Form.indd 735/17/2018 11:23:06 AMThree years ago, I started to raise a few showpigs for my grandkids and also a few Hampshires. It had been 18 years since I raised Hampshires and found out things had changed quite a lot. We found many issues such as poor structure, failing reproductive effi ciency, lack of soundness and growth ability seemed missing. I found a Hampshire gilt at Ron Iverson’s that raised pigs well and helped fi x some of the issues. To improve some more, we decided to use genetics we were familiar with by using frozen semen. We are pleased with the results and will be using more frozen semen in order to make a small Hampshire sow herd that is durable, well structured, sound and likes to raise pigs!YESTERDAY TODAYPANZERReg #2013303Sire of litter 4HWH6 SUZIE WS 1-3Reg #494260003Dam of litter 4HWH7 PANZER 4-6Reg #4987630067-7 underline267 lbs. @ 150 daysBalanced, powerful & huge ribbed with muscle.
